Who are we?

Our name DPACT stands for Disabled Parents And Carers Together.

We are a not for profit Community Interest Company (C.I.C).

We became a registered company in August 2012 but our origins go back to April 2009 when we were Croydon Disabled Parents Together.

We have five directors and a business development manager, all of whom are – or have been – disabled parents and/or carers!

We are a user-led organisation, which means we speak from both personal and professional experience. We believe disabled parents and carers – as a group – are underrepresented in society as a whole, even though they bear some of the greatest burdens!

If you have a disability and you have caring and/or parenting responsibility for at least one adult (18+) or child (aged between 0-18 years) then we would like to hear from you. We are here to represent your interests in all aspects of life.
